When I was a young lad our scout group raised funds to buy ourselves a coach. It was a Bedford OB similar to these two, we travelled all over the UK and even to Holland in the old bus and I have fond memories of it grinding up hills in low gear. I later drove a truck based on the same chassis and realised how much hard work it was to drive with a heavy clutch and no synchromesh, a gear lever around three feet long that was actually behind the driver and no power steering! Lorry drivers today have it easy! These two were at a county show a couple of years ago.
