We had a trip to Brownsea Island in Poole Harbour with Poole and East Dorset Art Society today. Brownsea is a beautiful island with hides overlooking a lagoon where terns raise their chicks and black headed gulls try to steal the fish the terns catch for their young. We had lunch on Church Green accompanied by five chickens and a peacock then did some painting looking away from the island towards the mouth of Poole Harbour. A great day out in perfect weather.
