I am delighted to say that I have been appointed Artist in residence to the Lord Lieutenant of Dorset Mr Michael Dooley LVO MMs FRCOG. The Lord Lieutenant is the king’s representative in Dorset and performs functions on his behalf. My first event was the presentation of the King’s award for voluntary service to Bournemouth Youth Marching Band. I did three sketches during the concert and presentation, two were presented to the band, the third is being framed and hung in the town council office on behalf of the Mayor of Ferndown. Not a bad start to the year long appointment.
