Interesting talks at Poole art society this afternoon. Pat Burnham gave us an insight into her acrylic painting techniques in preparation for a work we are going to attempt in a couple of weeks. John Biggs introduced the topic of our autumn exhibition and one at Poole museum in 2026. The topic is Poole in Dorset and John pointed us towards the museum’s excellent collection available on line. In the sketching time that followed I did a quick watercolour sketch based on a painting done around 1900 by Edmund Gouldsmith.
