As part of my duties as artist in residence to the Lord Lieutenant of Dorset I was delighted to be invited to attend the Swanage Railway 140th anniversary celebrations. Swanage town band were playing on the station and we had speeches from the mayor of Swanage and trustees of the railway followed by a trip from Swanage to Norden in the wonderful Pullman car that is 130 years old.
