Over the years I have chosen my favourite colours to include in my watercolour palette. This has left me with a lot of tubes that may have only been used once so in an effort to use them and present myself with a challenge I have put them together in a new palette. It’s interesting having to think and experiment with colour mixing rather than going for my default mixes. It has resulted in some colours that haven’t quite worked as can be seen in this picture painted from a photo I took in Spain. Hopefully with a bit more practice I can use new combinations to vary my overall colour choice.
