Next time I paint a white dog I will use acrylics! It’s so difficult in watercolours where the temptation is to leave lots of white paper although that may have worked better. However I did use 300 gms watercolour paper as someone has been advising to do for ages (thanks Gill) it makes a huge difference, much more than I expected. The washes are brighter and less inclined to go muddy. This is Bella, a chihuahua we fostered for a while a couple of years ago.
