We visited a small steam railway today. The Lynton to Barnsaple narrow gauge railway was closed in 1935 and has been reopened by volunteers, so far they have around a mile and a half of track so the journey didn’t take very long. The staff are very enthusiastic and wear authentic railway uniforms. The cafe is in a large marquee where they serve tea in delicate china cups. While we were there a group of very large bikers came in for tea, I liked the contrast between the delicate cups and the large leather clad bikers.
I love the biker and dainty teacups contrast too, especially as I live with a leather clad biker, not that he’s very big and burly, when a biker wants his cuppa he gets it!
