Having a go at the Sky Arts Portrait artist of the week this morning. The artist is Tom Croft who started the wonderful initiative Portraits for NHS heroes during the first lockdown which resulted in thousands of artists painting free portraits for front line NHS staff. Today’s sitter is the great operatic soprano Leslie Garret who is so full of life and energy she is a joy to paint. The conversation between artist and sitter is fascinating as usual.
