We visited Calke Abbey in Derbyshire today, a wonderful old country house that was given to the National Trust in 1985. They found rooms that been closed up after the First World War and left virtually untouched for 60 years complete with there contents. The house is kept too dark for photographs and too busy to sped time sketching but in the grounds is a superb deer park.
